Holy Week @ Trinity
3/25, Palm (Passion) Sunday
The Sunday immediately preceding Easter Sunday. Palm Sunday commemorates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and begins the series of observances focusing on the events of Holy Week. This Sunday is also often referred to as Passion Sunday, marking the beginning of the passion or suffering of Jesus leading to and including the crucifixion.
3/29, @6:00 p.m. Maundy (Holy) Thursday
The first of the three days of solemn remembrance of the events leading up to and immediately following the crucifixion of Jesus. As recorded in John’s gospel, on his last night before his betrayal and arrest, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and then gave them a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them (John 13:34).
The Friday before Easter on which the crucifixion of Jesus is remembered. Please visit one of our area churches conducting Good Friday Services.
