Rev. David Garrett
Lead Pastor
Bro. Dave received his call to ministry in high school; church had always played a big part in his life, so it was a natural fit. He began preaching while a student at Lambuth College (Jackson, TN), where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. He completed his Master of Divinity degree at the School of Theology at Claremont (CA) in 1989 and was ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1991. Since then, he has served churches large and small across the Annual Conference.
“What I like about Trinity UMC,” he said, “is our mission statement: to love, grow, and serve. To me, that is the core of everything we are called to be.”
Bro. Dave is married to Karen, a speech-language pathologist and California native. Together they share the affections of two slightly overweight and indifferent cats. They also enjoy the company of several nieces and nephews who join them bicycling and in lake activities.
